Dr. Baum has been practicing in the Boca Raton and Delray Beach area since 1996 when she joined our group. She is originally from South Africa and completed her preliminary Medical Education at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency programs at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and followed with a Fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at the same location.
Dr. Baum has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine & Critical Care Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Chest Physicians. Her other memberships include the American College of Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach County Medical Association. She has been recognized by the Consumer’s Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Physicians in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine as well as being voted Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Doctor of the Month.
Dr. Palumbo is originally from Staten Island, NY and joined our group in 2003 after completing a Fellowship Program in Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY which is where he also completed his Internal Medicine Residency program.
His Board Certifications include Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep, the Florida Thoracic Society, the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach County Medical Association.
Dr. Palumbo is currently a Voluntary Associate Professor of Medicine for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and an Instructor in Respiratory Curriculum for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.
He has also been recognized as one of America’s Top Doctors and has been Doctor of the Month at Boca Raton Regional Hospital where he is currently Vice President of the Medical Staff, Director of the Respiratory Care Department and Director of ICU Services.
Dr. Loutfi began practicing pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine in Boca Raton, Florida in 2008 after completing his training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His areas of expertise include the management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, chronic respiratory failure and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Loutfi graduated with Distinction from the American University of Beirut in 2001. At the completion of medical school, Dr. Loutfi was elected to join the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He was recently appointed Affiliate Assistant Professor at the FAU’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.
Dr. Loutfi is Board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine. He is also certified in Neurocritical Care by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine Dr. Breit joined our group in 2009 after completing a Fellowship program in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He completed his Internship & Residency at the University of Connecticut. He also served as Assistant Professor of Medicine (in residence) at UCONN.
Dr. Breit is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach County Medical Association. He is published in The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy on Asthma, The Handbook of Mechanical Ventilation and speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Kessler-Reyes joined our practice in 2009 after completing her Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship program at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY which is also where she did her Internal Medicine Residency program. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine & Critical Care Medicine she also holds honors as the Clinical Assistant Instructor to Stonybrook School of Medicine and as sub-investigator for Pulmonary Clinical Trials at Winthrop.
She has participated as research associate at several different locations such as Winthrop University Hospital, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Boston University Medical Center, Boston University School of Public Health, Massachusetts Department of Public Health and State University of New York Health Science Center.
